This simple page will allow you to ftp the latest versions of our products for Macintosh. These are based on a longstanding hobby! These are unfortunately not my full time job so although I'll try to answer all support questions, I may not be rapid and may not have time to make use of all suggestions.
Our thanks go to Mark Cohen and his team for making this ftp site possible.
SchoolStat
This is an iPhone and iPad compatible shareware statistics package intended for high school and early college instruction in statistics. It was written originally for Macintosh use on pre-Mac OS X systems but has just been ported to the iPhone OS. It has some really popular features and includes a fully functional quite sophisticated spreadsheet (with over 180 built-in functions). In its original form it found its way into many institutions around the world. Feedback is always welcome.

For SchoolStat download visit the iTunes Apple App Store.
***Advance notice is also given that this is being ported to Macintosh OS X now and to watch this space if you are interested. Feedback is always welcome.
NeuroMates Collection
We are now releasing a series of neurological, neuropsychological and psychological tools for clinicians. These will be iPad predominantly (though if appropriate may also work on iPhones). There will be a whole suite of tools and the list below will enlarge as we add further ones. The aim of these is to reduce the "stuff" we have to carry around to do our testing. This consists of plastic tokens, test forms and a whole range of manuals. If you have a specific test that you think should be put onto the iPad, by all means contact us (though we cannot port copyright tests without the permission of the owners). MacOS versions can also be created if appropriate and there is interest. Feedback is always welcome.

MacStim
This program presents stimuli (pictures, sound, text or movies) using a text-based script. It can record user events such as reaction times from key or mouse button presses, serial port or NuBus triggering devices (NMBIO-16 only at present). It is quite flexible and there are several versions now available.
The Carbonized version for Mac OS 9.2 and MacOS X (including 10.4 - Tiger) is available from the following link - MacStim 3.
If you have a PowerPC then download the PowerPC MacStim2 version.
Note that if you are running MacOS 8.1 and are told by MacStim that it needs "NavigationLib" to run (and then quits) then you have not got the Navigation extension correctly installed in your extensions folder. You will also need to download this by clicking Navigation Library. Once this is uncompressed, drag it to your closed System folder. It should warn you that extensions need to be put in the Extensions Folder. Click OK. If you are not warned but it just disappears into the system folder, you will need to manually drag it from within the system folder into the Extensions Folder. Then you will be able to run MacStim. Note that MacOS 8.5 has the Navigation Services facilities incorporated into it already so you do not need to install the Navigation Library.
If you have a 68K Mac then download the original version.
A new PowerPC visual interface version is under development.
All versions available here are fully functional but time-limited versions. To unlock them, contact me on ddarby@cogstate.com as described in the on-line help in all versions of MacStim.
I am ALWAYS interested in improving this product or fixing bugs (I hate them!). Please report them.
MacStim costs US$299 at present. Payment or official purchase order must be forwarded before unlocking codes will be distributed.
For PowerPC users (any MacOS, works to 9.2 but flaky in Classic in OS X) - 2.6.9 updated Jan 6, 2003: MacStim2.sit.hqx
For 68K Mac users: MacStim.sea.hqx
VoCal
This is a Macintosh (PowerPC) compatible shareware calculator that will recognize speech and can in turn speak the answers. It has a programmer's calculator & color swatch tool (if you pay the shareware fee of US$15 or purchase MacStim I will send you on request a code to unlock it). You may need to install the SpeechRecognitionLib to use it. Enjoy!
For VoCal download: VoCal.sit.hqx
