Statement:

My lab utilizes advanced technologies to associate structure and function in the human brain. While functional MRI has been our primary research tool, we have also been interested in combining it with electrical measures, such as EEG and single unit recording. I am interested in image processing, particularly in statistical analyses of time series and in creating tools that researcher can exploit to study fMRI data sets.

My applications interests are particularly in the areas of Epilepsy and Parkinson's disease, though I do considerable work in Drug Addiction and Schizophrenia. My trainees and I are also performing experiments in Time Perception, Mental Imagery, Brain Plasticity and MRI Contrast Agent development.

I have a particular interest in education. Currently, I am working on a textbook on Functional MRI and in the development of a new graduate program at UCLA in NeuroImaging Technology and Applications.

I sincerely apologize that we have a long-standing and unresolved problem that users are unable to modify the database contents using their logins and passwords. I hope that we can fix this problem soon. In the meantime, I will try to do this manually as best I can.
